So I did something completely different this year. I joined the Art Journal Caravan at SBG. It's $30 for the entire year, which is a good price, but still a lot, so I was hesitant at first. Well, that combined with the fact that when I think of art journals I think of art quirks, and that is definitely not my style. Anyway, after hearing about it from Phuong, I decided to go for it. I scrapbook for myself and for anybody else who may care, but I don't exactly do it as a form of expression, and I really feel the need to do that right now. The wonderful thing about it is that there are no rules. I can try any style of art I want. It can even be the ugliest page ever and still count.
Tangie will give us an "itinerary" of 7 prompts each week that we can choose to follow, should we need the inspiration. We can do as few or as many as we like. This week, the main prompt was choosing one word to base your entire year upon. "Love" is the word I used. Notice I didn't say "chose"...Love was bouncing up and down and in my face telling me that I was going to use it, so I did. I had no choice in the matter. In the end, I'm glad Love was my word. The page I did was about the loves I have and the ones I need to work on, and often they're both.

The next week's itinerary gets posted tomorrow, and I'm eagerly looking forward to it.
Ilove it, Meg! It's beautiful, and I think really captures what you've been going through :)
