Oops, I didn't realize it had been almost two weeks since my last visit. I suppose it's that time of year when things start to pick up and become busy (but then again, in law school, when is it not??). My law school bridal shower was this past Sunday at Chili's. It was small, but that's the way I like it. Amanda, Abby, Erin and Laura came. Amanda surprised me with a pretty little cake from Rick's. It was purple and decorated like a clock, since it was an Around the Clock shower. Laura had noon and brought a cute cake stand/punch bowl. Abby had 5'o clock (that is sooo her) and brought a cocktail shaker. Amanda had night and bought me something pretty "to sleep in" and something else unmentionable that I did not take out of the bag. Embarrassing, but funny, and that's all I'll say about that.
The weekend before last I went shopping with Meredith to find things to decorate the house. She showed me where some of the better flea markets are around here and I tried out a new-to-me restaurant. I ended up finding a mirror to hang in my office and she found one that she may or may not keep. I still need to get one to go on the landing of the staircase, but I think I want to get one from Hobby Lobby (note to self--it's 50% off this week). Later that same day, we (Geoff, me, Meredith, and her husband Steve) went out for sushi and to see Alice in Wonderland. I enjoyed it, and it was actually the first time I've been to a theater since Harry Potter this summer.
Those are really the only entertaining things I've done lately. I'm looking forward to Spring Break next week. I'll be home for the first half of the week going to wedding appointments and the dentist, and the second half I'll be back in Fayetteville working on my JILC article. I'll finally have the time to write it without any distractions.
