My parents came up to visit this weekend for my birthday. Geoff and I were going to go to the Farmer's Market on Saturday morning anyway, and when my mom told me she'd be arriving earlier than expected, I asked if they wanted to come. Believe it or not, it was my first time to go to the Farmer's Market. I've been wanting to go for at least a year, but the only times Geoff got up early enough to go last year was when he was sneaking my ring to and from the goldsmith's shop on the Square. I enjoyed it. It was small and cute (compared to the Little Rock one). I can't wait until later in the year when they have more fresh vegetables...right now it's mostly herbs and I can get decent ones from Wal-Mart. My favorite booths were the bakery, the Arsagas coffee, and one of the pottery booths. I bought a baked apple cooker from the pottery one. It appears I'm going to be taking after my mom and have a love of pottery. I've got quite a few platters and party dishes, my sugar bowl and creamer, my bacon cooker, and now my apple baker. I can't wait to try it out!
