During the weeks before my wedding, I got two chemical peels to improve my skin. They worked well but were darn expensive. A few days after one, my mom and I were at the Dillard's makeup counter and saw a device that does almost the same thing as the facials I had been getting. The wedding has come and gone, and my skin has actually worsened a little bit, so today I finally made the trek up to the Sephora in Rogers to buy the device.
The Clarisonic is a sonic facial cleanser, developed by the same company that created the Sonicare toothbrush. I've spent the past day looking at reviews online, and almost every single one of them raved about it. The Clarisonic not only cleans 6 times better than washing with a washcloth, but it diminishes the size of pores, clears them out, gets rid of redness, helps banish acne...the list goes on.
It is now my new best friend.
My skin has been horrible ever since 6th grade and nothing has been able to help it. My hope is that the Clarisonic will. I used it for the first time tonight and my face feels amazingly clean. In order to track the progress of my skin, I'm going to take photos of my face every week and (I can't believe I'm saying this...) will post them on my blog.
So that's me tonight, without makeup or photoshopping, after my first use. Not the prettiest sight in the world, but we'll see next Wednesday if the Clarisonic lives up to its price tag.

Yay! Glad to see you're back! I've missed reading your blog :)
