Law School Recluse

Work has been going well. I haven't done a ton of different things yet, mostly because the firm is still getting into the swing of things.  I'm slowly getting used to all of the different personalities, and I hope they're getting used to mine.  I've learned how to use the program for organizing client files, and I've met some of the staff and attorneys at the Memphis office through the phone. At the moment, my biggest nemesis is the postage machine, but that's only because I've never used one before and am scared to mess up, since it will cost them them money.

Aside from work, I've been studying for the MPRE for the past 3 weeks. Really, that's all I've done.  MPRE stands for the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam, and it is part of the bar exam.  I've spent all my free time studying for the MPRE, to the detriment of my other reading, and I'm still not sure how well I did.  The test was yesterday morning, and I'll find out my score in 5 weeks. Arkansas requires a score of 85 (not percentage...that's closer to 70%) to pass.  I really hope I pass.  I was cutting it close on the practice tests, and came to the conclusion that I just may be too ethical to pass the test, seeing as I always picked the more careful answer.  I had to remind myself that lawyers need to have some room to work, so hopefully that helped. Now that the MPRE is over, I can get ready for finals, maybe enjoy the beautiful fall season a bit, and see my friends.  I've been a recluse (unless I was studying with other law school friends) and I'm ready to rejoin the world.
