Friday Four 2.21.14

Four things that make me happy this Friday:

 

1. This Before and After of my hallway bathroom

It’s hard to tell from the photo, but the paint in the before photo was blindingly bright…almost a neon light blue. Our landlords said we could paint, so that color had to go. The lighting in the room is particularly difficult to work with, and all of the colors I loved (coastal mid-tone blues with a tiny bit of gray) ended up looking dark gray. I finally found a robin’s egg blue that didn’t read gray and wasn’t blinding, and I love it! It still needs a bit of touch up in a couple of places before our guest arrives, but I’m so happy with the result.

 

2. Tardis Progress

I found a pattern with several of my favorite Doctors, Companions, and the Tardis on Etsy. Since starting it I’ve been sick and then had to work on other projects (see above) due to the imminent arrival of a house guest, but I’ve finally almost completed the Tardis.

 

3. Battlestar Galactica on Netflix

I don’t know why I never watched this when it first came out. I love this show. I knocked out quite a few episodes while I was sick in bed for a week and am now starting Season 4. This has probably also contributed to my lack of progress on the Tardis.
