1. Teacups and Posies- Violets Cross-Stitch
Last month I set aside my large cross-stitch project and started work on something small, for the sake of my sanity. I can feel so bogged down by spending all of my time on large projects and never complete anything, so this small pattern was perfect. It’s an old (but still available) freebie by the Vermillion Stitchery. There is one teacup and posy pattern for each month; this pattern happens to be February. I love all of them, and will probably eventually get around to stitching all twelve months, but for now I plan to stop at a set of three. The idea is to display them in the guest bathroom since it is in desperate need of something pretty.
2. Day Designer Planner
I am in love with this planner. I ordered it for myself (from my husband, supposedly) for Christmas. Not only is the outside cover beautiful, but the inside is simple and elegant and just works with my brain. I had considered an Erin Condren planner, but they are weekly and also divide the day up into Morning, Afternoon, and Evening. I can’t plan like that since my schedule often overlaps times of day. The Day Designer is a daily planner, and each page has an hourly schedule, as well as a very large to-do list and room for meal planning and other notes. It is designed to help you achieve your goals and live a more intentional life. I think my favorite part is the small check-list list of priorities for the day. I’ve noticed that I’m actually getting much more done so far this year.
3. Fit Bit
Okay, so in full disclosure, my FitBit only arrived this afternoon. I haven’t had too much time to play with it. I’m really excited about it though, because lately I have had a problem re-establishing the habit of daily workouts. I think this will be a great tool to for accountability and tracking numbers more accurately.
