I picked up my dress today! I'm still so excited over it. The dress came in a tiny bit longer than it was supposed to have been, and I couldn't walk without kicking out the front first. We had the option of either tucking a pleat (there are some already, so it wouldn't have been noticed) or finding a slip to go with it. My mom and I don't really want to mess with the dress if we can help it, so we opted for the slip method. I am now the owner of a big mess of tulle packed into a garbage-bag sized bag. However, we're getting rid of about 1/3 of the tulle, otherwise it will look like my dress has a hoop about 6 inches from the bottom.
I also found a pretty hair comb to wear. I had wanted to look at tiaras, since I've always wanted to wear one, but we saw this comb and my mom and I both thought it was perfect. It matches the beading on my dress exactly. Part of me is a little bit sad that it isn't a tiara, but I love the comb.
Geoff doesn't know this blog, and it's private anyway, so I can post pictures.
By the way, I refuse to let Geoff see my dress before I walk down the aisle. I don't care if it's going to delay the reception while we finish up photos afterwards--people can have a bit of patience and wait, and the food will already be there. I want Geoff to be surprised. Luckily Geoff knows this and while he tries to get me to tell him about it, it's really only for form, not because he wants me to tell him now.

OH! Your dress is GORGEOUS, Megann! And the comb is perfect. I think it almost looks like a tiara :) I can't wait to see the dress (and the beautiful bride!) in person! :D
